3. Wall Street stocks began the week up slightly after remaining closed for a national holiday on Monday. The Dow ended the day 0.03% higher, the S&P 500 was up 0.15% and the Nasdaq rose 0.19%

4. President Donald Trump has indicated that the deadline to complete trade negotiations with China on March one is "not a magical date" and that talks between the two countries were "going very well".

5. US Senator Bernie Sanders has announced that he will seek the Democratic presidential nomination for the 2020 election. Sanders finished behind Hilary Clinton in the Democratic primary in 2016.
