1. President Donald Trump and former President Barack Obama are leading a final push on the campaign trail ahead of the US midterm elections on Tuesday.

2. Josh Frydenberg has announced a $58.7 million boost for the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority, and has reappointed chairman Wayne Byres for another five year term.

3. The Treasurer has also called on business leaders for support ahead of the next election. "It is business that must advocate the importance of a low-taxing, fiscally responsible government," Frydenberg told The Australian.
